DU Board Member and former USFWS Chief of Staff, Dr. Mamie Parker, was the featured speaker for the sold-out Conservation Through Art (CTA) Ladies Luncheon hosted at DU’s headquarters in honor of Tommie Dunavant. Dr. Parker spoke about the importance of exploring the outdoors. As the youngest daughter of an Arkansas sharecropper, she learned firsthand the value of conservation and the environment. Tommie Dunavant and her late husband, Billy, founded CTA in 2005 and have generously provided support and leadership for Ducks Unlimited over the years.
